It’s been a long time coming, but we’re so close we can almost touch it. Magic of Myths: season one is currently being built at the printers as you read this. Which means we can happily tell you that the book will launch… *drum roll, please*

…on May 14th 2011!

Yup, Magic of Myths: season one will be available to buy from May 14th 2011, for the paltry price of £7.99. We’re also currently in the process of creating a digital version as well for those who want to read the book on their i-devices, Android phones and other portable devices, so stay tuned for more on that soon, as well as what you get for your money.

The eagle-eyed comic book fans among you may notice that May 14th is also the same day as the Bristol Comic and Small Press Expo. This is no coincidence – Magic of Myths: season one will be there for its first public unveiling on the show floor, with space on a table to sell the book. The very kind and talented Simon Gurr has offered to share his table for the launch of Magic of Myths: season one, so you can come over on the day and buy a copy from Table 16 in Hall 3 (here’s a map for you: http://www.thefallenangel.co.uk/spexpo/BICSPE%20layout%202011.jpg) as well as check out and buy some fabulous artwork from another amazing artist, Jennie Gyllblad, who will also be sharing the table. We’ll only be there on the Saturday, so be sure to come over and say hi if you can.

If you can’t make it to the Bristol Comic and Small Press Expo, don’t worry – you’ll be able to buy Magic of Myths: season one from the incredible comic book shop Nostalgia and Comics, online vendors, and a few other places as well, around the time. We’ll have more information and links closer to the launch date.

Oh, and you may want to know what the final covers look like when you’re searching for the book – so here you go:

Thanks, and keep an eye out for more previews and news soon as Magic of Myths: season one closes in…

Welcome back!

We promised a preview of the coming issues, so here’s a sneaky look at Issue four of Magic of Myths – to be published in the Magic of Myths mini graphic novel, coming early 2011. We’ve been hard at work on the remaining issues to complete the first ‘season’ (essentially the first whole Chapter of the series, broken into 6 parts) and we’re nearly there. Issue four is virtually complete, with the scripts to Issue five and six almost done and artwork to soon follow.

While there are only a few issues of the season remaining, you can expect a few twists and turns between now and then, along with some revelations which will quite likely change the way you see the entire story to date. Issues one to three were just the beginning of a much, much wider tale…

Hope you enjoy this little preview. We’ll be showing off a little more of the following issues over the coming months, so why not subscribe to this blog using the link on the right and you’ll get the next update posted to your inbox as soon as it publishes.

Thanks again for all your support and see you soon…

Hi all,

First up, a big thank you – we’ve recently had news that the Magic of Myths ebook sampler has broken 5,000 views and still climbing each week, so a massive thanks to you all for supporting Magic of Myths. The response has been far better than we expected, and every read, view and mention is massively appreciated.

The second thing is that we’ll be showing off some preview art and pages soon, but to make sure we can complete everything for the Magic of Myths graphic novel launch early 2011 there’s going to be a little hiatus here on the site for a few weeks. Please check out some of our other projects in the meantime here and here.

We’ll be back late November with a fresh glimpse into the future of Magic of Myths – see you then!

What can you expect in the second half of Magic of Myths?

Well, here are a few things to look out for…

– What happens if Eve fails in her tasks?

– Who else is roaming around the land she’s currently in?

– Why is Eve doing all this in the first place?

– Who is Eve doing this for?

– How far is she willing to go to succeed?

These are a few of the various questions which will be answered when the Magic of Myths trade paperback is released in early 2011, with previews coming soon.

And also a massive thank you to everyone who has checked out the Magic of Myths ebook sampler – it’s now climbing towards 2,000 views, which is a  pleasant surprise. If you’ve not yet checked it out, you can read it here: http://www.myebook.com/index.php?option=ebook&id=39996

Thank you for all your support!

Magic of Myths may have reached the end of its ‘free online issues’ run, but you’ve only read half of the story. The second half (along with the first three issues) will be available in a mini graphic novel which will be available in the latter part of 2010/early 2011.

So, what will happen on this site in the meantime? Well, there will be previews of the graphic novel, any reviews or appearances of Magic of Myths will be highlighted and other little features leading up to the launch of the full story.

Keep an eye out for all of these posts right here on the site. And, just as a teaser, here’s a sneak peek of some of the artwork to come in the second half of Magic of Myths
