Happy New Year!
We hope you’ve had a very happy holidays and enjoying the end of 2014/start of 2015. It’s been a busy year for the Magic of Myths team, although not the most obvious in terms of output, nor communication (for which I can only apologise – it’s been a manic 12 months). But that’s what this post is for…
First of all, in case it’s not been obvious, Magic of Myths: Faerie is not ready for launch yet. Unfortunately, things have just been too fraught to get it to its original (if vague) release date of “late 2014”. We really want to make sure the book is as good as we can make it and we’re working hard towards that goal so that it can launch in the first half of 2015. We’ve also been working on the initial ideas of a very exciting way of getting this book out to more people, which we can hopefully share with you in the coming months.
Secondly, we really do want to show you that we’ve been working on the book and not just tell you – so, here’s an early pencilled preview to give you an idea of what to expect and to start 2015 the best way possible. Enjoy, and once again, Happy New Year!

Well, Magic of Myths made its second San Diego Comic-Con appearance and got a warm welcome from the show goers who stopped by to take a look at the book. A few more fans were made and many were either interested by the premise or loved Sergio’s visual style on the book enough to pick up a copy. Many thanks if you purchased one or just had kind words for us at the table.
We also were fortunate enough to take part in a couple of interviews, the first being from The Geek Speak Show, who interviewed Magic of Myths‘ writer Corey Brotherson about the series and one of his other projects, Vampire Boogie:

…Yes, you guessed, it, more Magic of Myths: Faerie tidbits.
We’ve been teasing Magic of Myths: Faerie for the past month, but now it’s really time to peel back a larger layer of the project. And what better time than on William Shakespeare’s birthday?
In case some of the characters didn’t tip you off, Magic of Myths: Faerie is based around and – more importantly – after Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In our story, the classic play has been written and performed… and someone from the Faerie kingdom is brutally unhappy with it. So much, that something must be done. Alas, an event is already happening that will change the realm of Faerie forever – and have massive consequences on the overall Magic of Myths storyline.
Eagle-eyed Magic of Myths readers will have noticed this isn’t the first time we’ve referenced Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the series. Why this is will be revealed over time…
The fantastic artwork you’re seeing across this page are Sergio’s early sketches for a little Magic of Myths: Faerie teaser we’re putting together while the book is being created. We’ll show you more soon, but tell us what you think!
