We’re delighted to announce that Magic of Myths will once again be attending the Thought Bubble comic art festival in Leeds this weekend.
On 19 and 20 November 2012 at the Royal Armouries Hall (tables 81 and 82), you can find Magic of Myths writer Corey Brotherson sharing a table with Clockwork Watch creator Yomi Ayeni and Clockwork Watch artist/Skal creator Jennie Gyllblad (all three are working on Clockwork Watch, and are mad as hatters… which is partly the reason why they get on so well). They’ll be selling copies Clockwork Watch: The Arrival, as well as various Clockwork Watch goodies, and, of course Magic of Myths: season one, Magic of Myths: 2013 preview and more.
You can find them via the hall map, here: http://thoughtbubblefestival.com/royal-armouries-hall-floor-plan/.
Oh, and there’s going to be a little Magic of Myths related surprise on the table for anyone attending…
Hope to see you there!

So, we’ve reached the halfway point of Magic of Myths – with the second half coming within the next 8 months in a combined graphic novel.
But if you want to read the story so far, back to back, we understand it’s a tad tricky given the format of the issues on this site. So we’ve created a temporary ebook for you, which lets you read all three chapters in one go, quickly and easily. And if you’ve not shared Magic of Myths with your friends yet (for shame!) then this is the perfect way to introduce them to the world of Eve and mythological fantasy.
You can check out the Magic of Myths ebook right here:

Please do share the link around, and feel free to rate it and leave comments there.
Thanks as always!
Magic of Myths #1 special edition out of stock! June 16, 2010

Well, we can’t say we were expecting this.
Our free limited edition paperback of Magic of Myths #1, which was available from comic shops Orbital Comics in London and Nostalgia and Comics in Birmingham have all gone within days of them being on the racks. There wasn’t a massive print run, but it’s been a wonderful surprise to hear they went down so well and so quickly – to the point where we wish we had shipped more comics to them! Thank you so much if you ventured out to get a copy.
So this entry was originally going to be promoting the newest batch of the special edition arriving at Nostalgia and Comics, but they told me all of the issues flew out the shop within the first day. Apologies if you missed out, although if we have any left over stock from our promotional pile we may do a little competition or something to give away the few left. Keep an eye out…
In any case, because Nostalgia and Comics‘ supply ran out we didn’t get to promote the shop as planned and promised, so this to make up for it because it’s my favourite comic book shop on the entire planet and deserves your support, as does Orbital Comics.
So, as we did before, here are the details for Nostalgia and Comics, one of the longest running and esteemed comic book shops in the country – check them out:
Nostalgia and Comics
14-16 Smallbrook Queensway,
Birmingham,

Of course, this won’t be your last chance to read a paper based version of Magic of Myths – we’ll be creating a short graphic novel of the entire story once its done (containing all six issues) later in the year, into 2011. Make sure you don’t miss that, but in the meantime have you read issue one and two yet? Issue three is just around the corner…

That’s right – Magic of Myths is now in comic book shops, and totally for free.
We’ve created a special limited edition of issue one which you can pick up at two select shops for a short period of time. This special A5 sized edition contains a foreword and never before seen artwork detailing some of the process behind Sergio’s designs for the series, as well as the full issue one story, ‘Lord, What Fools These Mortals Be’.
Where can you pick up this special edition?
Well, the first shop is the good people at Orbital Comics, in London:
- Orbital Comics
- 8 Great Newport Street
- London WC2H 7JA
- tel: 0207 240 0591
Head over there and ask for your copy of Magic of Myths – they’ll be totally free to take away with you along with any of other comics out there for your reading pleasure.
The second shop carrying this special limited edition of Magic of Myths will be announced soon – it’s a rather large and impressive one in the second city, so if you’re closer to London make sure you head out to Orbital Comics soon, otherwise you may have trouble picking one up if you’re not based in Birmingham.
Thanks for your support and if you have any problems getting a copy just let us know on this site.

Free Comic Book Day! May 7, 2011

Free Comic Book Day is that magical first Saturday in May each year when participating comic book shops across the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. It’s pretty nice.
Last year we planned to give away the first part of Magic of Myths in several comic book shops to celebrate the launch of the miniseries. That is, until Corey was struck down with a kidney stone. Ouch. The plan went ahead in the end, albeit about a couple of months later once the stone had passed and Corey was able to stand up again…
In any case, here we are once more, another Free Comic Book Day. And what do we have for you? Well, Magic of Myths is virtually on your doorstep. Not quite, but it launches next week, so you could be reading a copy in seven mere days. Woo hoo! However, half of the book is available for free to read anyway – if you’ve not already read it, please check it out right here and get a taste of what awaits.
Of course, if you HAVE read it (thanks!), then all we can do is ask a small favour – to celebrate Free Comic Book Day, please do pass around this link and encourage someone to read Magic of Myths. It could be a friend, a family member, your next door neighbour, that guy with the twitch who keeps staring at you when you put out the rubbish, anyone – but it’s totally free and heck, they don’t even need to leave your house.
However, we do love comic book shops – and we’d heartily encourage you to visit Nostalgia and Comics, one of Britain’s longest running comic book shops and full of very nice people. You can find them here:
They’ll be giving away plenty of free comics, and also have some rather excellent discounts and events going on, so head over and have a great time!
As we’ve previously mentioned, Nostalgia and Comics will be one of the kind comic shops selling Magic of Myths, so you’ll also be able to reserve a copy there if you ask a member of staff. If you subscribe to this site (simply put your email into the subscribe link on the right hand side) we’ll let you know when stock arrives, so all you need to do is pop in and pick up your copy. Easy!
Enjoy Free Comic Book Day!
