Some final character sketches from Magic of Myths: Faerie before we show off a little bit of colour…
These are the last three main characters of Magic of Myths: Faerie – Mercury, Hermes and “Greenie”. While they have small parts in the story, their actions are significant.
Those who are familiar with Magic of Myths to date will know it involves Greek and Roman deities co-existing, and this story marks the first appearance of Hermes (Greek messenger, god of trade, thieves, travelers, sports; guide to the Underworld) and Mercury (Roman messenger, god of financial gain, travelers, luck, trickery, thieves; guide to the Underworld). Both are visiting Faerie, and neither leaves the same by the end of the tale – something which impacts the events seen in Magic of Myths: season two.

So, another pencil sketch of Magic of Myths: Faerie for you…
This is Robin – our spunky lead character. She’s one of the most striking beings in all of Faerie, yet there’s a great anger within her. Is it because she cannot be who she wants to be… or is there something more dangerous guiding her down a path of self-destruction?
A few more sketches are on their way…

Sergio’s added some colour to our first double page spread for Magic of Myths: season two – so now you can see it in all its sunset-hued, gory glory:

During our creative discussions for season one, we decided to give the gods a bronze or gold plated (depending on their allegiance) statue look to add to their glittering – or tarnished – larger than life visage. As big fans of the legendary Ray Harryhausen, this double page spread brings together our references to his work, as well as being a big moment for the story.
We won’t give away much more info on this spread, but if you’re wondering (quick bolded clue, there for DC Comics fans) who the vicious lady with the sword is in the battle – that would be Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt and the moon…
